What do we do?
Our vision is to engage as many children as possible into meaningful movement and Activity.
On our multi-sport & activity holiday camps you can expect to play a variety of games including mainstream sports alongside tag, chase and invasion games, rounders, basketball, cricket, dodgeball, tennis, badminton, volleyball, wide games and many many more depending on the facilities available. This is all alongside a number of seasonal themed Arts and Crafts sessions.
On some occasions we may be restricted in delivering some of the activities due to inclement weather or facility capabilities.
We always offer non stop fun, excitement and an enjoyable time!!
Further Information:
We run our Multi-Sport and Activity camps for boys and girls aged 5-12 years.
Children will require: Comfortable clothing to take part in activities and a warm coat for when we are outside during colder months. For camps taking place during Spring & Summer we highly recommend sending Suncream for your child and clothing appropriate for the weather.
We provide a variety of snacks and squash and only ask that you bring a refillable drinks bottle on each day.
On some of our camps we offer a leadership programme for 13 and 14 year olds.
The Active Future Leadership Awards are ideal for 12+ year olds who have an interest in sport or activity instruction and would like a positive experience to help them on their way.
The Awards give young people first-hand experience of coaching and leadership skills through a combination of theory exercises and practical on-course experiences. As part of the awards, Leaders will complete workbooks and deliver a variety of sessions, starting with warm-ups and lunch activities, building up to eventually leading their own planned sessions, all with the help and under the supervision of their on-site mentor. We require a commitment of 3 days to be able to complete each level.
If you would like more information about this programme, please contact us.
Cost:
Our paid camps vary in costs from £15 - £25 depending on the timings of the day and the type of camp we are delivering.
Please contact us for more details - AFWolverhampton@activefuture.info
We offer sibling, multi-day / week and existing customer discounts on all of our paid camps, these are applied at the booking stage so please click booking link above for more information.
We are providing FREE places on each day of our HAF funded camps for children in Wolverhampton and South Staffs.
The free places are provided thanks to the Holiday Activity and Food funding from the City of Wolverhampton Council and their Youth Engagement Strategy Board and Staffordshire County Council for the places in Wombourne.
Free places also include a packed lunch or in some cases a hot meal provided by ourselves, you must however inform us prior to the cut off date of any dietary requirements and your child’s lunch order for each day.
We do offer a number of limited subsidised paid places on many of our camps to parents whose children are not eligible to receive a free place on our Multi-Sport and Activity provisions. These children will require a packed lunch on each of the days they attend unless otherwise stated in your booking information.
How to book:
Places are limited and are offered on a first come first served basis. If you would like to book simply click the link next to your chosen location above. You will receive a reply stating whether there is adequate availability for your request and then more information in the build up to the camp starting, if we have reached capacity on days you would like to book then you can be added to a waiting list.
CV-19 Guidelines:
A full risk assessment has been carried out for our camps and the full guidelines all attendees must adhere to will be sent out prior to the camp including things like:
* Ensuring hands are cleaned before and after each day and at regular intervals during the camp
* Parents cannot stay and watch due to CV-19 regulations and also Safeguarding restrictions.
The details you provide are required to help us meet the specific needs of your child making it vitally important you tell us as much information as possible prior to the camp to allow us to plan and deliver an enjoyable and positive camp experience.
This information will also be shared with the Local Council Authority and the Department for Education as required by the terms and conditions of our funding to provide the camps.
If we currently do not offer any camps in your area then please fill in the form and let us know what type of camp you would like and we will endeavour to provide these for you in the future.
