EYFS PROVISION

Evidence is clear that a child’s first introduction to movement must be a positive one if they are to continue to move long into adulthood. Therefore our EYFS Programme has this ethos at its core. It is also theorised that a major reason for drop out at a later stages is a direct result of failure to encourage a sound foundation of Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS). To this end the Active Future EYFS Scheme focuses on providing this through a delivery through games with clear learning outcomes coupled with our Market Leading and Objective Assessment tool PRO Scheme FMS. The aim is that by the time they reach KS1 they will have a sound foundation of physical literacy skills and already developed a love of movement.

“Having Audited our PE Provision, we decided that early intervention is key to developing the 5 key indicators for the effective use of Sport Premium Funding. Working in partnership with Active Future we developed a bespoke EYFS Physical LiIteracy Programme. Having benefitted from weekly sessions our pupils now enter the National Curriculum with improved strength, gross and fine motor skills and better communication skills. Our partnership with Active Future has contributed to being awarded the Platinum School Games Award, quite an achievement for a small village School”

Full Term Session Plans

We are pleased to provide you with full weekly session plans with detailed learning outcomes and clear progressions and cues within sessions. Each session plan comes with a set of diagrams and videos for easy understanding. Within each section is a detailed guide on what each technique is and what to look out for together with a full suite of assessment sheets for each set of plans. At the end of each topic period there are some simple tests to undertake to allow the children to be added to the PRO Scheme which will enable them to practice at home with full support of their parents.
